Student's Council Ramthakur College
Selection: Ramthakur College has a Students’ Council for the three faculties of Arts, Commerce and Science. Every year Students’ Council is elected through the election procedure conducted by the College, as per the guidelines issued by the Department of Higher Education, Government of Tripura for an academic session. The Principal of the College is the President of the Council by virtue of post. The Office Bearers of the Council are elected by the voting of all students of the college. The Class Representatives are elected by voting of students of the particular Class. The Council consists of 18 members as Office Bearers. Details of council members are as follows:

Celebrated Khudiram Sahidan Diwas (Martyrdom Day of Khudiram) at the open space of the Academic Block-II.

Mojahid Rahaman, Associate Professor, Department of History, Sri Dipak Bardhan, Associate Professor, Department of Commerce, Sri Rajat Das, General Secretary, Students’ Council of the college delivered talks on Khudiram’s martyrdom for the independence of India and the importance of the day in the context of present scenario. Organized voluntary Blood Donation Camp in the college campus where 58 donors consisting of 20 females and 38 males among students, teachers and non-teaching staff donated blood.

Organized annual Freshers’ Welcome for the students of First Semester 2015 at the Ravindra Satabarshiki Bhawan, Agartala.
Celebrated the day with various cultural programmes. Felicitated with books to 20 number students of various departments of the College who got First Class in the Part-III final examination 2015.

Participated in the Inter-College Drama Competition titled Moner Arale with a group of …. students (male = female = ) organized by the Student Federation of India, Tripura State Committee at Sukanta Academy, Agartala, Tripura. The team got 3 individual prizes (1 male and 2 females character) as best character.

Celebrated Samhati Diwas on 4th December 2015 at the Academic Block-I.

Mojahid Rahaman, Associate Professor, Department of History, Sri Dipak Bardhan, Associate Professor, Department of Commerce, Sri Idrish Miah, General Secretary, Students’ Council of the college delivered talks and enlightened the audience on the history of the day in the context of the present scenario.

A group of 20 students (3 females and 17 males) as per the plan of action of Students’ Council with the guidance of Dr. (Md.) Mojahid Rahaman, Associate Professor, Department of History, Dr. Arijit Das, Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry from the college premise visited the Nabaprantik Anath Ashram, Agartala. They distributed some food items and playing instruments to children of the ashram, like egg, lentil pulses, soyabin, fruits, chocolates and football, etc.
